About Studio MIKMIK

Studio MIKMIK was created in early 2006 by Michael Lewis to deliver well crafted solutions to print, branding, illustration and web projects to design conscious clients.

About Michael Lewis

Ever since I can remember I’ve been doodling, colouring, painting and scribbling to my hearts content. The fascination for image creation got me hooked at an early age and it stayed with me through school, directing me on to Art College and a degree in Visual Communications.

After graduation I honed my illustration and design skills working for busy design studios while harbouring a desire to pursue and develop my own style and ideas. This desire led to the creation of Studio MIKMIK in early 2006, a commercial outlet for my design and illustration skills.

My style can be quite subtle, delicate, intricate and beautiful with flat colours, hand drawn typography and simple graphic elements all featuring. I often choose to limit colour in my pieces as working with a palette of just 2 or 3 colours really makes you think about the choices you make.
