Location The UNESCO World Heritage village of Saltaire is the home of Studio MIKMIK. This Victorian model industrial village was built by the mill owner and philanthropist SirTitus Salt to house his vast workforce following the completetion of his new mill in 1853. The last building in Saltaire was completed in 1876, the same year in which Sir Titus Salt passed away. Today Saltaire attracts large quantities of tourists with its festival, shops, restaurants, food markets and Salts Mill itself which now houses the largest collection of David Hockney artwork in Europe.
