Saltaire Arts Trail
Identity
Saltaire Arts Trail is an annual event which, in partnership with the Saltaire Festival, attracts over 40,000 visitors each year.
In 2001 Saltaire was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its historical significance and almost entirely preserved architecture and layout. Saltaire's skyline is dominated by the presence of Salts Mill and its towering chimney. Once a thriving textile mill it is today the thriving home of businesses, shops and galleries including the 1853 Gallery, Europe's largest collection of works by David Hockney.
The original identity created by Studio MIKMIK for the Saltaire Arts Trail 2007 has been refreshed and refined for 2009.
New typography graces the logo while the solid, overlaid shapes have been replaced by sweeping, tapered marks. |
