Saltaire Arts Trail

Identity, brochure and website

Saltaire Arts Trail is an annual event which, in partnership with the Saltaire Festival, attracts over 40,000 visitors each year.

In 2001 Saltaire was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its historical significance and almost entirely preserved architecture and layout. Saltaire’s skyline is dominated by the presence of Salts Mill and its towering chimney. Once a thriving textile mill it is today the thriving home of businesses, shops and galleries including the 1853 Gallery, Europe’s largest collection of works by David Hockney.

The Arts Trail identity draws inspiration from Salts Mill and its ever visible chimney stack. Pouring plumes of colourful, mixing smoke accross the page the design is representative of the vibrant creative community nestled in this preserved Victorian village.

The Saltaire Arts Trail 2008 brochure is printed throughout on 9lives offset 100% recycled paper.
