Saltaire Arts Trail is part of the annual Saltaire Festival which attracts over 30,000 people each year from far and wide.

Saltaire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a Victorian Mill town dominated by Salts Mill and its towering chimney. Today the mill is the thriving home of businesses, shops and galleries including Europe's largest David Hockney collection.

For the artwork a typographic / grapic representation of the mill chimney is shown pouring plumes of coloured, mixing smoke accross the design.
