Yorkshiresource is a new design led online business directory for SMEs and sole traders accross Yorkshire. YS aims to offer a real alternative to the plethora of tired, text heavy directories that currently litter the web.

The identity developed from the idea of YS being at the heart of local business and a constant source of information for the user. From this the heart-droplet icon was created to sit atop the dual weight YS typeface.

The heart-droplet icon has no fixed colour as it will change with each of the YS local directories. For the YS stationery each team member chose a unique colour for the icon and reverse of their business cards.

To mimic the curves and sharp point of the heart-droplet icon the business cards are rounded off on 3 corners while the fourth corner remains square.
